In the control plane team within the Engineering Unit Cloud RAN, Product Engineering Unit vDU, our primary task is to systemize and implement the control plane functions in our vDU product with the overarching goal of maintaining Ericsson's leading position in the market. Our particular emphasis is on developing software for COTS HW and cloud environments.
We are currently seeking a Developer to join our outstanding team in Linköping. In this role, you will work on our Cloud RAN software product, playing a pivotal role in ensuring its success. Your work will have a big influence on our customer success and will be used by millions of people around the world.

What you will do
• Participate in the enhancement of existing software features and the development of new ones, with a focus on optimizing scalability, performance and reliability by taking full advantage of the evolving architectural and services inherent to a Cloud Native Platform
• Design and review software based on requirement specifications for the CloudRAN software product using mainly C++ in a Linux environment
• Create automated tests in multiple layers for the software you and your team write
• Participate as a dedicated team member in everyday teamwork and collaborate closely with your colleagues in a global environment
• Work end-to-end; participate in pre-design activities, document your work, and follow your work all the way to customer activities
• Handle customer feedback and fix bugs
• Analyze, design, and implement product improvements to secure long-term quality and architecture for our software products
The skills you bring
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ or Java and object-oriented programming(/design)
• A university education in e.g. M.Sc/B.Sc in computer science/IT/electrical engineering or equivalent experience
• An ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English
• Good communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
• Familiarity or interest in cloud technology
• An interest in developing your personal qualities and deepening your knowledge and career with us
• Knowledge in Telecommunication, Machine Learning and Agile ways of working is beneficial
