About this opportunity:

Are you considering moving your career forward within the (RST) Radio Systems & Technology? We might have an opening that is ideal for you!

 

As a Standardization Manager within Spectrum Regulations you will represent Ericsson as delegate in CEPT/ECC/ITU-R & PTS and regulatory standardization organizations for development of product standards for global markets and regions. You will be part of Standardization & Technical Regulation unit belonging to Radio Systems & Technology sector within Product Engineering Unit radio. The unit is responsible for securing global regulatory product requirements.

 

What you will do:

  • Work within various committees like CEPT/ECC/ITU-R/PTS as Ericsson delegate
  • Evaluate technical/ non-technical contributions presented in the meetings
  • Develop contributions using simulation tools such as MATLAB, SEAMCAT, or another appropriate tool
  • Act as regulatory spectrum specialist to support regional/ global regulatory activities
  • Contribute to internal studies specifying regulatory requirements
  • Influence regulatory product requirements in different regions
  • Collaborate with key industry stakeholders and national regulatory bodies to shape spectrum regulations at national, regional, or global levels
  • Be an interface and support function towards various organizations both internally and externally

 

The skills you bring:

  • PhD, MSc. degree or equivalent, in wireless communication, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related. 
  • Excellent understanding of radio spectrum regulations regional and global.
  • Experience in system level simulations in MATLAB/SEMCAT, or another appropriate tool
  • Understanding of LTE and 5G NR standards (3GPP/ ETSI). Knowledge of other wireless technologies standards (FS, Wi-Fi, Satellite etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ITU-R standards required for system level simulations like propagation models, antenna patterns, clutter loss etc.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a multilateral environment.
  • Ability to represent Ericsson at external regulatory forums. 
  • Highly motivated and result oriented personality.
