About this opportunity:

As the pioneering tech firm that revolutionized the mobile world, with over 60,000 patents to our name, Ericsson is committed to shaping the future of technology. By joining our team, you’ll be empowered to learn, lead, and excel, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in mobile communications.

The Standards & Technology (S&T)  unit, part of Technology & Strategy within Business Area Networks, is dedicated to driving technology foresight from antennas to cloud. With nearly 300 highly skilled researchers and leaders across Stockholm, Lund, and Paris, S&T is responsible for Ericsson’s hardware and software research strategies, standardization efforts, target architecture, and the analysis of new Radio Access Network (RAN) concepts. We conduct technology proof-of-concepts and build testbed systems for future RAN generations.

Technology leadership is crucial to Ericsson's success. Our active involvement in standardization organizations ensures that our network products are supported by relevant standards, including Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), thereby maximizing their competitive advantage and solidifying our position as having the thought leadership in the industry. Standardization also provides business intelligence and insights from the industry landscape, that in turn, influences Ericsson’s products and technology plans.

The Standardization unit within Standards and Technology is responsible for BNEW standardization strategies and execution to make sure Ericsson is the continued leader in all standardization related to radio access networks.
