Business Relationship Manager to BMW Financial Services

About the role:

As Business Relationship Manager in the Northern European region, you will be working together closely with the local IT team on Financial Services side (consisting of IT System Analysts & Operation Specialists). You will also work together with our local business team, coordinating all business requirements regarding projects and changes, monitoring the IT capacity and performance during daily operations and report this back to business. You will be mainly responsible to review and improve the interaction with our local business, while ensuring quality in requirements engineering, project and capacity planning of IT projects and resources. The aim is to increase our execution speed by ensuring that functional requirements are submitted according to the existing processes, functional requirements are clearly defined and capacity of internal and external resources is realistically estimated.


Your responsibilities:

• Understand, review and optimize the local project and change prioritization process incl. all aspects such as requirements engineering, capacity planning, etc

• Understand, review and report the local IT operations performance by assessing KPIs and preparing summaries and reviews for a regular Service Delivery Review

• Communicate closely with our local SF business team responsible for the IT project portfolio (PMQ) and ensure good communication between business project managers and IT system analysts

• Structure and steer IT vendor meetings and ensure sufficient documentation of meetings for the entire local IT team

• Support the local IT team on top down tasks, by steering those efficiently using the local tools and reporting capabilities

• Support the local IT team in creating, re-working, structuring and maintaining documentation regarding the local IT systems

• Support the IT manager in ad-hoc top-down tasks


Pre-requisites for the role:

• You graduated from Swedish comprehensive school or hold a University´s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science or hold a comparable education

• You have at least 5 years working experience in a corporate environment (preferably in an IT context)

• You demonstrate great analytical skills and are very structured, result oriented and show the ability to self-lead and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• You have worked in a DevOps and agile environment and know your way around tools like JIRA or Confluence

• You need to be fluent in written and verbal in English

• You demonstrate outstanding communication skills and have fun interacting with people

• You are a social person, a team player and are willing to go the extra mile

• It´s a plus if you have worked in an international setup

You will play a central role in the link between the local Financial Services business, the headquarter in Munich and our local IT team. You are someone who wants to develop together with BMW and like to share your knowledge and experience. We also see that you are driven, organized and have good problem-solving abilities. You should speak and write freely in English. Fluency, or good knowledge, in any of the Nordic languages and/or German is meritorious.
