About this opportunity

Ericsson Enterprise IT has created a centralized team with the mission of developing common tooling and automation to solve problems that every development team has. 

 

We are now looking for a Product Owner for our One Engineering Platform (OEP) product.

 

As an IT Product Owner, you will be managing a team of people dedicated to proactively building and delivering the One Engineering Platform to a large set of users, across multiple organizations in Ericsson. 

 

An IT Product Owner (ITPO) in Ericsson Enterprise IT is E2E responsible for the strategy and delivery of the product, within the Product Area Technology Foundation, including leading the product team. The ITPO prioritizes and sequences what the product team work on and ensures a deep understanding of the customer/end-user needs to secure that the product is delivering business value. This role is also responsible for the roadmaps and to ensure that the product team (s) has the right competences to enable successful execution. The ITPO carries and communicates a vision for the product area that inspire the members in the team.

 

What you will do

  • Have E2E-accountability for product delivery, including operational responsibility, from idea through development to retirement
  • Define and optimize product strategy and roadmap, including resource needs to enable successful execution. Owns the product roadmap. 
  • Lead product team in sprint planning and daily activities, including prioritization and sequencing of user stories
  • Align team to achieve OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)
  • Manage stakeholders and dependencies across organization
  • Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
  • Advocate for a product-oriented execution model, and serve as the voice of the customer/user
  • Identifies and help the customer/user to understand the business model of the product, value and value proposition.
  • Financial planning, forecasting, budget requests and actuals.  

 

The skills you bring

  • BA/MS degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in software engineering with strong understanding of operations
  • Result-oriented and able to structure and prioritize tasks and establish common goals. Understands business value and committed to enable value delivery
  • Ability to navigate stakeholder demands to ensure the right prioritization/sequencing
  • Experience of Amazon Web Services and/or Azure. Good understanding of DevOps tools and methods for Cloud Computing environments. Good knowledge of git and git workflows and able to leverage CI and CD tools to automate build and release process. 
  • Strong experience from working with Agile methodologies
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices
  • Can clearly define and propose solutions / options, and considers the broader impact of problems / solutions
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and strong English language skills 
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members effectively.
