Head of Project and service management

Project and service management is part of the larger IT function in the Skanska Group HQ, which consist of four different divisions – Information Management, Sourcing and Vendor Management, Cybersecurity and Data Protection and Project and Services Management. The Head of Project and Service Management reports directly to the Group CIO / SVP IT. 

Position

As Head of Project and Service management you have the overall responsibility to ensure that IT supports all other Functions in Group HQ and that Global IT Services and Projects are delivered and working according the promise. This includes ensuring that the IT business partners reporting to you have a constructive dialog with their counterparts, that services are sufficiently resourced and that all projects are defined and agreed. Continuously evolving and managing the IT governance is a focus area.

You lead an experienced team of the IT business partners that manage day-to-day interactions across functional areas such as finance, HR, communications and sustainability. The portfolio also includes more technical areas such as global directory and network.

The Group project portfolio and the associated decision processes have been established but further iterations will need to take place and this is one of your main tasks. An ongoing responsibility is also to ensure that architecture, security and procurement become involved in project planning. Collaborating and sharing knowledge with other PMO’s across the Group is an important task.

You are part of the Group IT Management Team and need to collaborate effectively with your colleagues. The environment is highly federated and you need to work across organizational and cultural boundaries to create networks and trust. 

The position is located at our head office in Stockholm.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with solid experience from project and service management or a similar role who wants to take on a challenging role.

You have excellent communication, organizational and management skills.

You understand IT Technology and the ways IT can add value to business in the decentralized and world wide scale.

Your provide structure and an outside-in perspective on the projects and services that the team is responsible for. You are able to identify and appropriately challenge stakeholders.

You are experienced with budgeting and financial follow-up.

You have a university degree and it is meriting if you have experience from the PPS and Pm3 methods. 

You are fluent in both written and spoken English and feel at home working in an international environment.
