About this opportunity:

 

Standards & Technology unit within Business Area Networks drives technology foresight for the complete business area portfolio, from antennas to cloud! We are close to 300 researchers and developers present at four main sites in Kista, Lund, Paris, and Rosenheim. What makes us unique is that within our unit we have competences in all areas needed to both research and build state-of-the-art mobile networks, putting research results into practice.

 

You will be part of Standards & Technology’s Radios & Antennas team researching, developing, and validating the latest state-of-the-art radio technologies ranging from lower physical layers through signal to the antenna. Concept development, design and validation is done in everything from our ground-breaking simulators and crude lab prototypes to end-to-end systems implemented in product-like prototypes. You will be working in one of the most experienced teams within this domain in the world.

 

We are now looking for a Radio project manager wanting to take on a broad role in the drive of our 6G and beyond radio development & research projects. 

 

 

What you will do:

 

  • Lead Radio development projects of all kinds and sizes, ranging from research ideas to full design, manufacturing, integration, and certification of product-like prototypes. This includes driving project scope definition, effort estimates, time planning, resource assessments, follow-ups, and reporting.
  • Engage in all project management aspects, anywhere from high-level, long-term strategic planning down to technical details in engineers’ daily work.
  • Drive efficient communication and coordination with stakeholders and adjacent development projects such as baseband and trials.
  • Drive Radio technical leadership: Understand industry trends and customer benefits.
  • Promote S&T Radio technology: Engage in Ericsson activities with customers , supplier and partners

 

The skills you bring:

 

  • MSc or PhD degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications or similar
  • Strong track-record in technical leadership roles
  • Ability to organize and lead multi-disciplinary teams
  • Understanding of radio-related technical disciplines such as mechanics, thermal, PCB, RF, FPGA, digital design, control software, antennas, analog front-end, converters, radio system, radio algorithms, beamforming, e.t.c.
  • Responsiveness and self-sufficiency
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English mandatory, proficiency in Swedish is an advantage
