Integrity of Ericsson products is important so that our customers can validate that it is authentic Ericsson Hardware or Software that they have received. Customers expect also that our delivered software is free from malware.
Our sector “Production System, Operation and Security” provides Public Key Infrastructure management, Malware Scanning Services and Data Signing Services for Ericsson products across the company. We also provide a service for auto-generation of SBOM’s (Software Bill of Material), to be transparent to Ericsson customers what FOSS components we have included in our products and to show that these are not vulnerable.
For the services we provide, we have the full responsibility for the complete stack. This includes for example hardware installations, platform deployment, feature development, maintenance of services and finally, the operation of the same. We do this together with teams in Finland.
Due to growing need of integrity and authenticity, we need to strengthen our organization. This ad is targeting an Operation/Developer Engineer (with more Operation profile) for one of our XFT teams in Stockholm/Sweden.
We are hosted in a Functional Unit called Engineering Services & Experience (FU ESE) which is one of the units within Business Unit Networks (BNEW) - RAN Software & Compute Platforms Engineering (RCE)

What you will do
We are now looking for a newly graduated DevOps Engineer, who will take active part in operations, maintenance and development of one of our services.
You will work in an end-to-end team in Stockholm/Sweden which have the full responsibility for feature development, quality assurance activities, maintenance, release & deployment, and customer support.
We have a deep collaboration with our sister organization in Finland, so daily interaction with teams in Finland can be expected.
Your main responsibility will be:
- Operational Support including system configuration for provisioning signing flows
- Monitoring our Continuous Integration (CI) flow, including troubleshooting.
- Maintenance of the service.
- Drive continuous improvements of products and processes.
- Be responsible for user and system documentation being accurate and informative.
- Feature development, including QA activities.
You will bring
To be successful in the role, the following competencies below are needed:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience of Linux (preferably Red Hat) and scripting skills (Python and/or Bash)
- Good programming skills, preferably in Java.
- Team-collaboration skills, enjoy sharing knowledge and takes initiatives to contribute to team success.
- Curious personality, good communication skills and a security-aware mindset.
Besides, the following competencies are beneficial:
- Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure and related processes, X.509 certificates
- Knowledge of Certificate enrollment protocols, key lifecycle management and HSMs
- Knowledge of Log Management (preferably remote logging and log monitoring)
- Knowledge of test automation, preferably by using TestNG and/or JUnit
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration & Deployment and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Ansible for application deployment.
- Knowledge using hypervisors and virtualization, preferably Nutanix product family.
- Experience of problem investigation, incident responses and Root Cause Analysis
