Engineering Environment and Experience (EEE) is a unit within Hardware Engineering Unit (EU HW) with the exciting scope to work with EUHW Engineering environment and experience. Our mission is to provide a world class engineering environment, including tools, for our designers. Within EEE, we explore and find Engineering Environment harmonies across EU HW units and have collaboration with other units such as other EUs, EAS, SAN, EIT. We are looking for you that will bring high energy, have excellent leadership skills and an ability to make things happen. You will work in a global organization which involves multiple interfaces where collaboration and communication is key.
We are now recruiting Category Owner for the Printed Board Assembly area.
Category owner is the primary interface for the business to identify product requirements and translate this to requirements towards the tool suppliers. As category owner you are the link between the tool developers and its users. It’s a key role to secure and enable development and support of state-of-the-art development tools.
What you will do
- Join our PBA team and form this domain with focus on enabling efficiency in the HW development flow and state of the art design environment for the PBA design community
- Be the interface to our tool suppliers
- Drive and lead the interaction with business stakeholder on a regular basis
- Make sure that our PBA design environment meet business needs and requirements (e.g. tools, and hardware configuration)
- Understand HW simulation impediments and drive opportunities for improvement
- Provide input to required guideline, instructions, training, and tutorials
The skills you bring
- M.Sc. or Bachelor's degree in relevant area or equivalent experience
- Service and support mindset
- Deep knowledge and understanding of PBA tools, vendors and portfolio
- 3-5 years of experience in board layout and schematic PBA design or other relevant area
- Have a mindset of explore new ways of working and challenge old ways of thinking
- Drive to seek simplification and efficiency opportunities
- Hardware development process experience
- An eager to drive discussions about the status of our PBA environment, so it will be efficient and evolved in the right direction
- High degree of flexibility and eagerness to take on challenges with a can-do attitude
- Readiness for innovation and willingness to challenge the current ways of working
- Good cultural and security awareness and good business understanding
- Solid skills in negotiations, communication, and mentoring, as well as willingness, listening skills and ability to motivate and encourage people
- Proficiency in English, oral as well as written
