Sustainability strategist

to Group Sustainability

Internal and external stakeholder dialogues are continuously ongoing to ensure that different demands and expectations are taken into account.

 

Boliden´s sustainability concept includes evaluating environmental impact, taking social considerations and ensuring lasting results. Boliden Group has operations in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Ireland.

 

We are now seeking a Sustainability Strategist to become part of the Group Sustainability team. This position will be located in Stockholm or at another business unit within Boliden group.

 

 

Tasks

We are looking for a colleague who combines impactful change with proven relationship and project management skills.

 

This role involves designing, implementing and managing projects such as climate risk and opportunities studies and scenario analyses.

 

You will report to Boliden´s Director of Sustainability, who you will support as a strategic thinker with strong knowledge and experience in environmental sustainability and climate change. To follow trends and collaborate with other companies and authorities will be an important task. The Sustainability strategist will work closely with the Sustainability organization on Group and Business Area level and will also liaise with multiple Group functions to assess and help implement sustainability in all processes and procedures. The role also includes supporting in Group Sustainability reporting.

 

You have the confidence to argue the business case for sustainability informed by a rich understanding of the global economic, social, and environmental impact, as well as opportunities and challenges.

 

You will be part of integrating sustainability across Boliden’s value chain to ensure long-term value creation. We expect you to think for the future, to be innovative and able to work with e.g. practical pilots and behavior change. You will also be expected to be an excellent facilitator of workshops, with the ability to acquire and communicate knowledge effectively.

 

 

Education and qualifications

We assume that you have an academic degree and several years of relevant work experience within the area. We believe that you are structured, analytical, ethical, and have high problem solving skills. You can work independently as well as be part of a team.

 

You need experience from data visualization and data analysis, and you should have excellent understanding of general sustainability concepts, including social and environmental standards.

 

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge in Swedish and Finnish is a merit.
