Would you like to lead one of the world's most efficient copper smelters and a world-leader in the recycling of copper and precious metals from electronic scrap? Your focus will be to lead the people and teams with continuous improvement of the smelter’s operation.
Boliden now seeks an outstanding leader that can take on the role as General Manager for the smelter Boliden Rönnskär, located outside Skellefteå. Established in 1930, Rönnskär is one of the world's most efficient copper smelters and a world-leader in the recycling of copper and precious metals from electronic scrap. With its ~900 active employees, ~ 900 Ktonnes of processed materials (copper, concentrates, and secondary materials & lead) Rönnskär is Boliden's largest unit and the dominating private workplace in the region.
As General Manager, you are accountable for all aspects of Rönnskärs’s Operations and performance, including operational stability, safety culture and strategic Investments. Your assignment includes developing, revising and formulating the strategic direction and business plan.
The key responsibility is to guarantee a cost effective and safe production according to specified quality and environmental standards and according to expectations as set out in the budget and production prognosis.
You will be an important part of the BA Management Team in all relevant development initiatives. Together we are responsible for Business Area Boliden Smelters long term development.

Education and qualifications
You’re a leader who are genuinely people oriented and possess a strategic mind-set as well as a strong analytical capability. You are result-oriented with the ability to make analyzes and take actions. Further, you are flexible and a good communicator, a good relationship builder, with a creative and open mind.
You are an experienced and strong leader with proven skills in managing large organisations, preferably in the process industry. You have excellent knowledge of strategy development and change management. You have a genuine interest and understanding of the industry’s market conditions. Commercial experience and negotiation skills are of value for the position. Your English skills are good, both verbal and in writing.
