Category Manager Services

Boliden Group Procurement is responsible for coordinating and developing the work of purchasing products and services. Boliden Mines has operations in Sweden, Finland, and Ireland. We are now looking for a Category Manager for Services within Boliden Mines, with a strong focus on results, who wants to take the lead and assume responsibility for the development and execution of global category strategies at Boliden Mines. The position will be located in Boliden, Sweden.

Tasks

In your role as Category Manager Services, Boliden Mines, you have an overall responsibility (in close collaboration with your internal stakeholders) for developing and executing the category strategies for varying kinds of services, such as contractors and consultants. You support the development of the Sourcing Plan for category Services.

Moreover, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of agreed processes and procedures within your category and ensure the evaluation of business partners and monitoring KPIs. You will also be responsible for supporting the business planning processes and provide market intelligence to your stakeholders. Your work involves travel.

A prerequisite for success in this position is very close cooperation with stakeholders within Boliden Mines as well as with your colleagues within Group Procurement, in particular the sourcing managers within your category.

A suitable candidate will also lead a team of 4-6 persons and participate in development of their performance within procurement and continuous development.

You will report to Head of Sourcing, Boliden Mines and located in Boliden.

Education and qualifications 

You have academic qualifications, commercial experience and experience of strategic development work. Moreover, you have business acumen and experience of developing and managing teams. We value experience of negotiations and agreements (preferably regarding sourcing of service contracts, contractors and consultants). Experience of managing suppliers in large organization and experience with Maximo and Ariba are considered an advantage.

The group language within Boliden is English, and we therefore require you to be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written English and Swedish. Communication skills in Finnish are of advantage.

A category B driving license is required.
