Business Development Manager, BoKlok Sweden

BoKlok is a modern and innovative residential developer, created by Skanska and IKEA. We develop sustainable blocks of flats and terraced houses for people who want to live in a home of their own, but also have money left at the end of the month. BoKlok care for the entire value chain from land acquisition to product development and moving in. We put satisfied customers very high on our agenda and are committed to becoming climate neutral by 2035. Our homes are made of wood and are fabricated off-site in a safe and dry environment using a smart and industrialized process. BoKlok has developed more than 12,000 homes and is active in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and the UK.

We are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who together with his/her team wants to further develop BoKlok's business and create opportunities for new homes for our customers all over Sweden. 

 

As Business Development Manager, you are responsible for coordination of BoKlok's land bank in Sweden as well as managing and further strengthening our business development activities. You are part of BoKlok Sweden's Management Team and thus a key person for us to reach our ambitious goals. You have budget and personnel responsibility for your unit and report to the BoKlok Country Manager for Sweden Niclas Bagler.

 

You and your team create and drive the business through strategic work with different business models and collaborations with external parties as well as within Skanska. You are a key player in building good business relationships with our partners and the municipalities where we operate.

 

BoKlok work mostly with development of homes through tenant-owned-associations but also with rental apartments. The local BoKlok Business developers are responsible for the projects until BoKlok has legal ownership for the land and there is a valid zoning plan. Then, they hand over to a BoKlok Project Manager to start the project.

As Business Development Manager, you need to be highly engaged in the broader aspects of sustainability, as part of your involvement in the long-term development of the housing market. We want to understand our customers and stakeholders to help them achieve their goals.

 

Business-driven, relationship-builder and strategic. Do these words describe you?

 

For you to succeed and enjoy the role of Business Development Manager, you need to master the art of creating relationships, be passionate about the business and keep ethics and sustainability high on the agenda. You have documented experience in creating good business and a well-established network of contacts. You are familiar with the municipal system of politicians and municipal officials and have a good understanding of the zoning process in Sweden

You also have: 

 

•    Academic education in economics, real estate or law or acquired equivalent knowledge in any other way.

•    Several years of work experience in a similar role with personnel responsibility

•    Experience from board work in Real Estates.

•    Natural ability to constantly see opportunities and to create/implement business.

•    Good language skills in Swedish and English both in speech as well as in writing.

 

The location is Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Malmö. Travel occurs in this position and a B driver’s license is a requirement.
