Legal Counsel, Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions

The Sandvik Group conducts operations in three business areas with divisions responsible for production and sales and research and development (R&D) of their respective products and services. SRP is a leading global supplier of equipment, tools, parts, service and solutions for processing rock and minerals in the mining and construction industries.

We are now looking for a corporate in-house Legal Counsel to take on a new and exciting role in our Legal and Compliance Team. The location for this position is in Stockholm or Hyllie (Malmö).

About the role

In this role, you will focus on a range of strategic and commercial matters supporting both our Divisions globally, and support our Sales Area Management team Southern Europe & Middle East.

The role includes but are not limited to:

• Support strategic projects driven by SRP Management or Division Management, including M&A and business development, strategic projects (such as sales channel optimization and processes). Occasionally you will also need to be involved in matters regarding R&D and strategies regarding digital law.

• Advise our European and Middle Eastern sales and European organizations with drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of various types of commercial contracts, such as sales, framework, sourcing, and distribution agreements.

• Advise indirect purchasing of goods and services, manage disputes, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Sandvik Group policies and procedures.

• Supporting the business with legal training, processes, and tools.

You are an important member of the SRP legal team and report to the Business Area General Counsel.

About you

You have a law degree and at least six years of experience from a reputable business law firm and/or in-house legal organization working with M&A and other cross-border transactions, commercial agreements, and general corporate law.

Working in a global setting, you also need excellent communication skills in English, while another language, such as Swedish, Finnish, French, Spanish or German is a plus.

In order to be a good fit with our team you need to be commercially oriented, understanding of how a legal department provides value and know business’ priorities. You are solution-oriented, pro-active, and can easily adapt to different situations – all accompanied with a genuine service attitude.

You are self-driven, have the confidence and will to work independently, and are very interested in deepening your knowledge of our market and the legal landscape that we are navigating in. With a practical, structured, and detailed mindset, you are able to prioritize and multitask. To gain trust is key in your job, and you build strong relations and offer legal advice based on sound judgment and thorough business understanding.
