Assignment description

We are looking for a proactive and structured Transport Coordinator to join our client’s Overseas Transport team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles produced at our European manufacturing sites reach customers around the world – safely, on time, and with full compliance.

You will work primarily with special transports of vehicles, which requires a flexible mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, and a high sense of urgency. You will be part of a team that handles both road and sea transports, including documentation, customs, and deviation management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and follow up on the daily transport flow, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries

  • Handle deviation management, including identifying issues, taking corrective actions, and communicating with stakeholders

  • Receive, plan, and execute rush transports and urgent bookings

  • Book and coordinate transports for outbound deliveries

  • Maintain close communication with carriers, production sites, and internal teams

  • Prepare and manage transport documentation, including customs requirements

  • Develop and implement emergency plans when disruptions occur

  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, external regulations, and customer requirements

Who You Are

You are a structured and solution‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑moving environment. You enjoy coordinating many moving parts and take pride in keeping the transport chain running smoothly.

Requirements

  • 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in transport coordination, logistics, or supply chain

  • Experience working independently with general supervision

  • Ability to handle difficult (but not highly complex) problems using practical knowledge

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence others through clear explanations of facts, policies, and practices

  • High sense of urgency and flexibility — especially important for special vehicle transports

  • Experience with road and sea transport is a strong advantage

  • Knowledge of customs procedures and transport documentation is highly valued

  • Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus
